Laura works primarily with sculpture medium and as a freelance Artist Educator running workshops for families, schools and community groups in major art galleries and organisations across UK.
These free family workshops form part of the Art in Libraries two year project to place visual artists in libraries in the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames. The project aims to explore the libraries’ heritage and their role in the community by working collaboratively with staff, library users and local primary schools.
Over a period of ten weeks this autumn, students from Thomson House School in East Sheen have been taking part in weekly workshops with Laura X Carle, to produce work for East Sheen library and for the students to achieve Arts Award Explore. Do top by to have a look at what they have made so far!
