Have you got your tickets for the Arts Richmond Book Picnic on Sunday 13 May? It’s a unique event in the Richmond arts diary, a great social occasion and an opportunity to hear from a renowned author, this year Barbara Hosking who will talk about her intriguing book "Exceeding My Brief: Memoirs of a Disobedient Civil Servant". Bring your picnic to the spectacular May Fair marquee on Richmond Green. Booking details below.
Barbara Hosking will be in conversation with Lynn Faulds Wood, television presenter, journalist and charity campaigner. Barbara has just published the story of her career working with Prime Ministers at No 10 and in the upper reaches of the Civil Service and television, and about coming out as gay at the age of 91! She has acquired a massive following as a champion of women fighting for gender equality at work. She was awarded a CBE for her work with women peace-makers in Northern Ireland. A good way to celebrate this centenary year of Votes for Women. You can be sure that Lynn and Barbara will have a fascinating conversation and welcome your input too.
