The Gatekeeper charts eleven years of the Cameron leadership, from its inception and battle to win the soul of the Conservative party, through to life at No 10 during the coalition years and finally to the European referendum and the last days of the administration.
Reshuffles, relationships, scandals, births, deaths and the crisis in between, Fall offers a new perspective – what it is like to be a woman at the centre of power in a traditionally masculine world and how it feels to live one’s life at such a pace under so much pressure; much of it so private, yet under the public gaze. Kate Fall was the Deputy Chief of Staff for David Cameron from 2010-2016, becoming known as ‘The Gatekeeper’ thanks to her role managing the flow of people, information and power in Downing Street.
This event will be chaired by journalist Anna Silverman.
